Day 1: Arusha – Momella Gate – Miriakamba Hut
Elevation: 1,400m to 2,516m
Distance: 10 km
Hiking Time: 4-5 hours

After breakfast in Arusha, we drive for about an hour to Momella Gate for registration. The hike begins through lush rainforest, with chances to spot wildlife like giraffes and buffalo. We cross the Ngarenanyuki River and pass a waterfall before arriving at Miriakamba Hut for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Miriakamba Hut – Saddle Hut
Elevation: 2,516m to 3,566m
Distance: 4 km
Hiking Time: 2-3 hours
Habitat: Heath

We ascend the steep ridge today, offering views of the Meru Crater and Ash Tray. The short hike leaves time for an optional acclimatization trek to Little Mt. Meru. Dinner and overnight at Saddle Hut as we rest for the summit.

Day 3: Saddle Hut – Meru Summit – Momella Gate – Arusha
Elevation: 3,566m to 4,566m (descent to 1,516m)
Distance: 14 km
Hiking Time: 6-8 hours
Habitat: Alpine Desert / Rainforest

We start early for the summit, beginning at 1:30 am. The trek passes Rhino and Cobra Points, reaching the summit at sunrise with breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro. After a short break, we descend to Saddle Hut for rest, then continue down to Momella Gate for the drive back to Arusha.
